Key features:
Thorough, double blind peer review
The review process is efficient using a double-blind peer review model:
Submissions are prescreened by one of the Co-Editors-in-Chief for suitability for peer review.
The peer review is double blind to minimize bias.
The reviewers' identities will remain confidential throughout the peer review process.
The Handling Editor's identity will remain confidential throughout the peer review process.
With the consent of the reviewer, the reviewer has the opportunity to reveal their name and/or review report upon article publication.
The review template ensures that the review reports are comprehensive and objective.
The handling editors are scientists working in research and make the peer review decisions based on 2, or when appropriate 3, reviews by experts in the field of the manuscript.
