Background

The series Young Researcher Editorial (YRE) of the International Journal of Public Health (IJPH) is edited autonomously by us, PhD students affiliated with the Swiss School of Public Health. The series was founded in 2018 and has published 24 editorials YRE since then (see here and here). We currently aim to promote voices of early career researchers from Latin America.

We invite PhD students from Latin America to submit to the YRE series. YRE are evidence-based discussions with a single clear message. All topics addressing public health challenges in Latin America are welcome, such as tackling health inequities; health system challenges for universal coverage; demographic, epidemiological and nutrition transitions, and health systems governance.

The Call is open from 01 April until 31 July 2022 for PhD students affiliated with a research institution in Latin America. YRE author guidelines apply. YRE will be reviewed by us and a professional science content editor. YRE accepted for publication will be published online within 3 weeks after acceptance.

You can submit to the article type Young Researcher Editorial here. Article processing charges are fully funded by the Swiss School of Public Health.

If you have any questions, please contact Peter Raguindin (YRE Editor-in-Chief), peter.raguindin@ispm.unibe.ch.

We look forward to your manuscript!
